Exercise SOBRAON STRIKE with the 3rd Battalion

Exercise SOBRAON STRIKE was a two-day Platoon level exercise run over the weekend of 18-20 October 2024.

The subunit strength encompassed both 4 (Lincolnshire) and 2 (Leicestershire) Company personnel and the exercise was delivered on the Catterick training area.

The exercise provided a focus on Section level patrol skills, including section attacks and recces, culminating in a Platoon Ambush.

SOBRAON STRIKE was both 4 (Lincolnshire) and 2 (Leicestershire) Company’s first tactical exercise after ADX and looked to build up skills and drills used on ADX.

It looked to provide challenging training in the field based around the delivery of section level patrols in order to develop leadership, teamwork, physical fitness, moral and physical courage, as well as core infantry skills that are vital to the delivery of operational capability in a progressive and challenging manner.
