Our Reserves deploy to Germany on Exercise

Personnel from the 3rd Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment, recently deployed on Exercise Rhino Heart as part of 19th Light Brigade in Germany. They were training alongside the US National Guard and German Bundeswehr.

Ex Rhino Heart formed part of a wider NATO training objective Ex Linotyper conducted throughout 2023/4. Exercise Rhino Heart was to see the largest deployment of UK and NATO Reserve forces in a generation and in doing so achieved its main objectives: to effectively deploy at speed 19 Brigade to mainland Europe and conduct training at Battle Group level.

19 Brigade has demonstrated not only its capacity for Reserve forces to form a credible part of NATO & UK Defense strategy. It has laid foundations for future Reserve forces to deploy en masse.
