Army Career: After his basic training at Bassingbourn, Anthony was posted to The 3rd Battalion The Royal Anglian Regiment in Aldershot in June 1970. He later moved with The Battalion to Paderborn, where he was employed as an Armoured Personnel Carrier driver. He served with The Battalion as a Rifleman in Belfast in 1972 and Londonderry in 1973.

Date of Death: 27/04/1973

Circumstances: Anthony was fatally shot while on duty at a Vehicle Check Point in the Creggan Estate, Londonderry.
