Mission Accomplished! Help support the charities
Great news, the Royal Anglian Veterans team Completed the National 3 Peaks Challenge 28 August with 30mins to spare from the 24 hours allocated.
The team made up of Royal Anglian Veterans and supporters of Tee it up for Teenage Cancer completed the National Three Peaks Challenge. Climbing the highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis – 4,413 ft), England (Scafell Pike – 3,209 ft), and Wales (Snowdon – 3,560 ft) all within 24 hours.
The distance covered on foot is over 23 miles, with over 10,000 feet of ascent, and hundreds of miles of travel between the peaks.
Addenbrooke’s Charity Trust
In June 2021 at 20yrs old, Alfie was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. He started Tee it up for Teenage Cancer as a way to tell his story, to spread awareness of cancer in young adults and to raise money for Ward C9 at Addenbrookes Hospital, to pay forward everything they did for him. To date Alfie and the Tee it up for Teenage Cancer Team have raised over £20,000 for the Trust.
We want to ensure that every patient at Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie hospitals experiences the highest quality of care available. We raise funds for cutting edge technology, additional specialist staff and extra comforts for patients, over and above what is possible with NHS funding alone.
The Royal Anglian Regiment Charity
We are a group of Royal Anglian Regiment Veterans who have over 100 years of service between us. We’ve served together on operations in Northern Ireland, Iraq & Afghanistan as well as on exercises and training all around the world. Throughout our careers we were well supported by the Royal Anglian Regiment Charity. It’s now great for us to have the opportunity to raise funds to support those members of our Family who are in need. Of course we are also members of the wider community and to be able to support the Addenbrookes Charitable Trust that does so much good is equally important.
