A total of 96 guests attended, and one, Shaun McAnally traveled all the way from Ireland to meet up with his old comrades. There were several guests who had not seen each other for over 40 years, the warmth of their reunion could clearly be gauged by the level of laughter & banter between the reunited old comrades. The atmosphere throughout the evening was described by many as outstanding. This was a clear indication how successful the evening had been.

A three-course dinner with wine was followed by speeches and a presentation to our guest of honour Kevin “KC” Jones MBE. This was to thank him for his outstanding and continued support in making these dinner nights possible for us all to enjoy. After the speeches the evening became more relaxed. Dave Gant and his assistant Alan Shand kindly gave up their time taking photographs of all the guests, who were by this time enjoying themselves reminiscing about the good old days and much, much more.

Some of the highlights of the evening were a tombola organized by the committee with donated prizes. Roy Osborne receiving a photo of Amanda Holden and a MBM that got mistaken for an MBE. The following morning seventy plus guest duly attended breakfast and the banter continued until it was time to say our farewells.

Since the weekend, the committee has been overwhelmed by the thanks & appreciation for their efforts in making this reunion happen again. Steve Smith, Micheal Morris and the committee would like to thank all the guests for supporting them in & making the night such a great success.

The requests for an action replay next year have been overwhelming in number. To that end we are now working on Viking Reunion Dinner 2025!
