A Thanksgiving Service to mark the Liberation of Rome in June 1944 will be held at the Cathedral Church of St Michael and St George, Aldershot at 11.30 on Saturday 15th June 2024. Further details of the Thanksgiving Service are included in the above attachment.

The event is hosted by The Rt Rev Paul Mason, Bishop of The Forces, and will include prayer, hymns and statements about events leading to the end of the occupation of Italy’s capital.

Speakers will include Apostolic Nuncio to Great Britain Archbishop Miguel Maury Buendia; representatives of the Hugh O’Flaherty Memorial Society and The Monte Cassino Society and Jenny Grant, historian of Poland and the UK in the Second World War.
