Update on Royal Anglian Soldiers Back-to-Back Marathons
The Marathon team from 3 (Essex & Hertfordshire) Company, 3rd Battalion,The Royal Anglian Regiment completed their epic 3x back to back Marathons.
Chelmsford – 7 Nov in PT kit
Colchester – 8 Nov in PT kit
Chelmsford – 9 Nov in patrol order
This was led by Warrant Officer Class Two M D Ransley, the challenge is designed to honour those who served while raising money for both the Royal Anglian Regiment Charity and The Royal British Legion.

We asked Warrant Officer Class Two M D Ransley (Rash) (Company Sergeant Major 3 Company), who lead the effort and the other team members a few questions:
Would you do something like this again? Joe Ransom – I would do something like this again, but not for a long time!
Were there any moments where you doubted, you’d finish? Katie – Possibly on the last day, just as we were up against it on the clock, in order to make it to the form up point for the parade in time. We smashed it so managed to be there about 30mins before the parade started.
What message would you like to give to those who supported you or donated? Katie – I would love to say a massive thank you, it means the absolute world, especially on such a large challenge.
How are your bodies holding up? Rash – Mine is almost broken! I need a new body… Not just legs!
Which of the three days was the hardest, and why? Rash – Sunday and the loaded march. It was a different dynamic, but carrying weight on your back is never easy on the legs and body, particularly over long distances and our third consequetive marathon!
