Four New Officers join the Regiment

Four Officer Cadets commissioned into the Royal Anglian Regiment on Friday 12 December 2025, marking the culmination of 44 demanding weeks of Phase 1 Officer training. The Commissioning Parade, inspected by HRH The Princess Royal, represented the final milestone before they proceed to the Platoon Commanders’ Battle Course ahead of joining their Battalions in the spring.

Particular congratulations go to Colour Sergeant Schurch, whose 32 Platoon, The Falklands Company, was awarded the distinction of Sovereign’s Platoon as the best platoon of the intake. He becomes only the second Royal Anglian to earn this honour.

The parade also saw Major W Hoy, Officer Commanding Borneo Company, witness his Company of Officer Cadets commission. Among them were two Royal Anglians, as well as both the International and British Sword of Honour recipients awards, which are presented to the top international and British Officer Cadets of the intake respectively.
