Exercise Steadfast Defender – 2nd Battalion

NATO’s Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (Land) - 2nd Battalion, Royal Anglian Regiment

The 2nd Battalion, Royal Anglian Regiment is currently the Spearhead Battalion for NATO’s Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (Land) on Exercise Steadfast Defender, the largest exercise since the conclusion of the Cold War.

One part of this major exercise across NATO countries has been Exercise Brilliant Jump 2024, part of the exercise Steadfast Defender series, successfully concluded on Wednesday 28th of February 2024 in the Drawsko Pomorskie Training Area in Northern Poland.

“Exercise Brilliant Jump has demonstrated the high level of readiness of our NATO Allies to rapidly deploy, integrate and collectively deter and defend Alliance territory. I am assured our Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF) is trained, skilled and capable to respond to any threat at any time from any direction,” said JFC Brunssum spokesperson, Colonel Frank Warda.

The 2nd Battalion will now move to the next phase, Exercise Polish Dragon.
