The Band of the Royal Anglian Regiment
The band has undertaken various engagements over the previous couple of months. We have supported the Regiment locally as well as representing the Regiment overseas.
In October, Musicians Mills and Ormerod travelled to Gibraltar to provide support to the Royal Gibraltar Regiment band taking part in public duties such as guard mountings and the Ceremony of the Keys.
November 2023 saw the band providing musical support for the Regimental Remembrance Service at the Royal Anglian Memorial, IWM Duxford as well as delivering a Regimental Charity concert in Grimsby.
We continued to provide support to the Regiment in December at St Mary’s Church, Bury St Edmunds by playing for the Regimental Carol Service. This has built into a significant event with a pleasingly increasing congregation from the extended Regimental family.
Currently, the band is training hard for the laying up of the 6th Battalion Colours at St Mary’s church in Bury St Edmunds on the 23rd March as well as preparing for the Regimental spring concert at the same venue on the 18th May.
