2nd Lieutenant Martin joins the 3rd Battalion
The Regiment is pleased to welcome 2nd Lieutenant Martin, who completed his Commissioning Course Short at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst on 18 July 2026.
The Regimental Deputy Colonel for 3rd Battalion attended the parade at Sandhurst to formally welcome 2Lt Martin into the Regimental family at the conclusion of his course.
He will now join the 3rd Battalion (Army Reserve), becoming part of the dedicated team of Army Reservists who form the Battalion.
Strength from Within
The course (Commissioning Course Short) takes eight weeks to complete and is based directly on the Regular Commissioning Course. It is split equally into four modules. It is an intense, challenging course designed to teach the fundamentals of soldiering and develop Officer Cadets as leaders.
