The funeral of Lance Corporal James Freeman will be held at 1330hrs on 24 July 2026 at Norwich Cathedral with a burial service afterwards.

At the request of the family, all members of the Regimental family are invited to attend the service at Norwich Cathedral.

PLEASE NOTE: The burial service and wake are reserved for family members and invited guests only.

Date: 24th Jul 2026

Time: please arrive at Norwich Cathedral from 1300hrs for the service to begin at 1330hrs.

Location: Norwich Cathedral, 65 The Cl, Norwich, NR1 4DH

Dress: all military attendees are to wear full Service Dress with medals and leathers.

Parking: there will be limited parking available at Norwich Cathedral, with further parking available throughout Norwich city centre. There is to be no parking at the front of the Cathedral to allow for the arrival and departure of the hearse.

The Wig and Pen pub near the Cathedral will be a meeting place to offer those not invited to the Burial and Wake a chance to raise a glass.
