The 2nd Battalion has recently deployed to Salisbury Plain for Exercise WESSEX STORM. The initial phase has seen the Battalion en masse deploy from Kendrew Barracks to Salisbury Plain Training Area.
After a short period of Reception Staging and Onward Integration (RSOI) Companies have conducted a Combined Arms Live Fire Exercise (CALFEX) and further integration with our Battle Group assets from the Royal Engineers, Royal Artillery, Army Medical Services, Military Working Dogs and the Royal Military Police. Further to this Sub Units have completed Platoon and Company level tunnel clearances in Corsham Mines, developing the basics prior to deployment on the validation phase of the exercise.
