He supported Manchester City Football Club, liked to travel and enjoyed fishing. He also liked spending time with his friends and family who were the most important things to him. He married Francoise on 25th May 2009 at the Clumber Park Hotel, Nottinghamshire.

Army career: William enlisted at the Lincoln Recruitment Office and served in Northern Ireland, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Circumstances: William died of a serious illness while serving with the 2nd Battalion of the Regiment.
