Background: Karl was born in Germany and brought up in England. He attended boarding school where he excelled in all types of sports. He won many cups and medals. He had just finished his Bar Management course in the Sergeants Mess and was working towards his second stripe. Sadly this was not to be.

Date of death: 04/07/1980

Circumstances: Karl died in an accident while on duty with the Regiment in Germany.

Resting place: Shorncliffe Military Cemetery, Folkestone.
