S6 Respirator Gas Mask

Description: British Army Issue L.B.R Black S6 Respirator Gas Mask With Filter was developed in the 1950s by the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory, Porton Down and was manufactured by the Birmingham & Leyland Rubber Company.

As used by Royal Anglian Regiment personnel on exercises and operations.

It was donated to the museum by David Whitehead.
