Description: 2nd Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment Afghanistan 2003. Operation FINGAL. Their duties were focused on peacekeeping, providing security and stability in Kabul to assist the interim Afghan administration, and training the nascent Afghan National Army. This contrasts with the later combat operations under Operation Herrick, which involved more active fighting against the Taliban.
