An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrative Officer at Suffolk Army Cadet Force (ACF), part of East Anglia Reserve Forces and Cadets Association (RFCA) based in Ipswich, Suffolk.
East Anglia RFCA is one of 13 RFCAs across the UK and widely recognised as the most valuable, knowledgeable and authoritative body in support of the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force Reserve Forces and Cadet Organisations in East Anglia. The Association is an arms-length public body, apolitical and independent from the Ministry of Defence although funded by it to deliver its three mandated Defence outputs of managing the Reserve and Cadet Estates, Community and Employer Engagement, and support to Cadets.
As a public sector organisation with Crown status, we are looking for an organised individual with excellent numeracy and literacy skills, who is computer literate and able to learn new systems quickly and work with the minimum of supervision. Good communication and inter-personal skills are required.
Range of tasks include:
- Maintain the ACF Database Westminster.
- General administrative duties.
- Reception duties.
This post is for 20 hours per week excluding lunch breaks; the exact working hours are negotiable and will depend on your availability and will be agreed before employment commences. This position attracts a current salary of £11,443 p.a. Additional benefits include a generous defined benefit pension scheme, annual leave pro-rated to the full time entitlement of 25 days plus public holidays (rising to 30 days pro-rata after 5 years of service) and free on-site parking.
