Looking back at 2019 and forward to 2020

Last year Corporal Johnson trained in the Australian bush, went skiing in Austria and led his section on tough training in Brecon, Wales – the beating heart of the Infantry’s dismounted close combat training.

In 2020, he will deploy on world class warfighting training on Salisbury Plain and lead a section in the Cambrian Patrol, the UK’s prestigious military competition where the British Army, regular and reserve, and partner nations compete for victory over a demanding 48 hour, 60 Kilometre course.

Corporal Johnson is a junior non-commissioned officer in the 3rd Battalion the Royal Anglian Regiment, the Steelbacks. He does all of this in his spare time as an Army Reserve Infantry Soldier.
