Our Remembrance Sunday Service at our Regimental Memorial is always well supported by our veterans and their families, and in particular by many families of the fallen. Some families travel considerable distances, and it is their presence at this poignant service, which makes our Remembrance Service rather special.
Private Ian Burt died on duty, serving with B Company of our 2nd Battalion on 29th September 1972 in West Belfast, so this year is the 50th anniversary of his death. Ian Burt’s family regularly attend our Remembrance Sunday Services.
