Upcoming Events
The Royal Anglian Regiment big breakfast event returns on 25th February at locations across the UK.
We offer you the opportunity to attend where 30+ simultaneous breakfasts will be held. This is a Regimentally funded initiative (c.£7.50 p.p. for all attending).
The hope is to reach out to concentrations of Royal Anglians and bring them together in a low-key, low-impact and dispersed event and that the event complements the concentration we achieve at the Regimental Day at IWM Duxford but connects our Regiment with more local initiatives.
The first Big Breakfast event in 2022 was a great success and the feedback we received showed the importance of events like this and the desire to get together with friends and acquaintances from the past.
The area events are open to both serving personnel and veterans.
This page will be updated with venues shortly.
The Regimental Battlefield Study will concentrate on the Allied advance through Holland and into Germany during the winter of 1944 and spring of 1945 with particular focus on battles fought by our antecedent regiments involving 1 Suffolk, 2 Lincolns, and 1 R Norfolk.
The cost of the trip to include return travel by coach with various pick-up points, all accommodation with breakfast, dinner and packed lunches will be £500pp for a single occupancy room, or £400pp sharing a twin room/double. Please inform Major Tim Brown at RHQ if you wish to join the tour by emailing timothy.brown133@mod.gov.uk. Joining instructions, including details of pick-up points, will be sent out in the early spring.
