The Royal Anglian Way path in Gibraltar is a significant hiking trail that leads to Rooke’s Battery, a historic military site on the Upper Rock. This path is named after the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Anglian Regiment, who refurbished it in 1969. The Royal Anglian Way also leads to other historical sites, including Hayne’s Cave Battery.

The path’s construction was a joint effort by the Royal Anglian Regiment and the Gibraltar Regiment. It runs along the western slope of the Rock, offering views of the surrounding area and access to various military installations. Along the path, you’ll find diverse flora and fauna, including esparto grass, wild gladiolus, and various bird species.

The path is part of a larger network of trails within the Upper Rock Nature Reserve, which offers opportunities to explore the area’s natural beauty and military history.
